Regeneration

Bradford is changing!  All the evidence points towards the fact that Bradford has been rediscovered - by inward investors, by the development community and by Bradford people themselves.

Come to Bradford and the evidence is there to see.  The city centre is undergoing massive redevelopment with an Urban Regeneration Company (Bradford Centre Regeneration) co-funded by Yorkshire Forward, leading the way.  The infrastructure for the new 500,000 sq ft Broadway development is nearly complete and a start date is expected to be announced very soon.

The massive Lister Mills, which lay derelict for for so long, is now being transformed by Urban Splash.  Chairman Tom Bloxham describes it as one of the country's best buildings and their redevelopment of these iconic buildings as one of Urban Splash's most exciting projects. Many of the initial transformations are now complete, with a few remaining projects still to come.  A masterplan for the surrounding area has been recently published.

Beyond the city, Airedale, also the subject of a recent masterplanning exercise, continues to prosper whilst Wharfedale, on our northern boundry, boasts house prices which demonstrate how desirable the District has now become.
