When people think about Bradford they think about the city itself but the Bradford District includes large tracts of countryside to the north and west.  In fact the District is 2/3rds rural.  Within Airedale there are the towns of Shipley, Bingley and Keighley and in Wharfedale there is the elegant spa town of Ilkley.

In addition to these towns there are a large number of villages both in the valleys and on the slopes of the valley sides.  Amongst their number are two that are extra special.  The first is Saltaire, a World Heritage Site and Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters and like Saltaire a magnet for tourists.
